9 Nights / 10 Days Birding Itinerary

Route: Bareilly → Sattal → Ranikhet → Chaukori → Munsyari → Kaladungi → Bareilly Focus: Summer Bird Photography & Nature Experience Pickup & Drop: Bareilly Airport

Day 1 – Arrival Bareilly → Sattal

Pickup from Bareilly Airport .
Drive to Sattal (Approx 3/4hrs) .
Check-in at birding lodge / resort.
Evening birding walk near Sattal lake area.
Overnight stay – Sattal.

Day 2 – Sattal Birding

Morning session Bird hide in Sattal .
Evening session. Chanfi River .
Target species: Rufous-chinned Laughingthrush, Tawny fish owl, Spotted Forkteail,Blue-throated Barbet, Slaty-backed Forktail, etc.
Overnight stay – Sattal .

Day 3 – Sattal Birding

Morning session in Syamkhet expected species, Collared owlet, Maroon Oriole,etc Evening session around Sattal studio point.
Overnight stay – Sattal.

Day 4 – Sattal → Ranikhet → Chaukori

Early morning departure for Ranikhet (2 hrs drive).
Short birding stop en route (Kumaon pine forests) Expected species:Cheer pheseant, Koklass Pheseant, Chukar partridge,etc.
Continue to Chaukori (approx 3/4 hrs).
Evening sunset view of Panchachuli peaks.
Overnight stay – Chaukori.

Day 5 – Chaukori → Munsyari

Early morning birding around Chaukori tea gardens .
Proceed to Munsyari (approx 5–6 hrs), birding stops on the way .
Target birds: Hill Partridge, Rufous-bellied Niltava.
Overnight stay – Munsyari .

Day 6 – Munsyari Birding

Full-day birding and photography in Khalia Top / Darkot / Maheshwari Valley.
Overnight stay – Munsyari.

Day 7 – Munsyari Birding

Morning trail towards Thamari Kund or Nanda Devi view point .
Afternoon rest or second session.
Overnight stay – Munsyari.

Day 8 – Munsyari → Kaladungi

Early morning birding session .
Departure for Kaladungi (approx 8–9 hrs) with scenic stops.
Arrival by evening, check-in s.
Overnight stay – Kaladungi.

Day 9 – Kaladungi Birding

Full-day birding in Kaladungi forest & Raikota, Boar River .
Target species: Lineated Barbet, Crimson Sunbird,.
Arrival by evening, check-in.
Overnight stay – Kaladungi.

Day 10 – Kaladungi → Bareilly (Departure)

Morning short birding walk (if time allows) .
Drive back to Bareilly Airport.
Trip ends with wonderfull memories & bird list.
