🌿 Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary

Thattekkad is Kerala’s first bird sanctuary and one of India’s most important birding destinations.
It lies within evergreen and deciduous forests along river systems, creating rich habitats for birds.
Rare species such as the Sri Lanka frogmouth and Malabar grey hornbill can be spotted here.
It is a must-visit location for serious and experienced birdwatchers.

🌿 Munnar

Munnar is a famous hill station known for misty mountains and vast tea plantations.
Its shola forests and grasslands support a wide variety of endemic bird species.
Birds like the Nilgiri flycatcher, white-bellied sholakili, and black-and-orange flycatcher are commonly seen.

🌿 Chinnar

Day 1 – Arrival & Birding

  • Pickup from Cochin international Airport.transfer to thattekkad.
  • Hotel check-in & breakfast.
  • Morning birding in the sanctuary.
  • Afternoon hide photography.
  • Night owling experience.
  • Our traget birds in thattekkad.
  • Malabar trogon,Malabar imperial pigeon,Malabar wood shrike,dark fronted babler,black throtted munia,Srilankan bay owl,Srilankan frog mouth etc..

Day 2 – Core Area Exploration

  • Early morning birding in core forest thattekkad.
  • Afternoon photography at a different hide.
  • Night owling session.

Day-3 Core Area Exploration

  • Full day birding Thattekkad bird sanctuary.

Day-4 munnar

  • Moring 5.30 start to munnar.
  • Full day birding in munnar.our traget is white bellied sholakili,Palani laughing thrush,Nilagiri pipit,Nilagiri tahr,Indian scmitter babler, Nilagiri flower pecker etc..
  • Rest at munnar hotel.

Day-5 Munnar

  • Full day Munnar hide photography .

Day-6 Chinnar and Valpari

  • Moring 5 we start to Chinnar wildlife sanchury.our traget is common wood shrike,Sirkeer Malkova,grey bellied cuckoo etc..
  • Halfday birding in Chinnar then we start to Valpari stay at Valpari hotel .

Day-7 Valpari

  • Full day birding in Valpari.then eveing we move to ooty Main targets in Valpari-great Indian hornbill,lion tailed macaque.

Day-8 coonor & ooty

  • Full day birding in ooty and Coonor area our primary traget is Nilagiri sholakili,nilagiri laughing thrush,Nilagiri thrush,Nilagiri wood pigeon,Kashmiri flycter,black and orange flycter etc..
  • And many more birds.

Day-9 coonor & ooty

  • Full day birding in ooty area then eveing move to Mudumalai stay at mudumali hotel.

Day-10 Mudhumala forest

  • Full day birding in mudhumala forest area rest at hotel.our primary traget is white bellied minivet,Malabar lark,Jerdons bush lark,Spott bellied eagle owl,savanna nightjar etc..

Day-11 Mudhumala forest

  • Full day birding in Mudhumala and eveing we move to Mysuru.
  • Stay at Mysuru hotel.

Day-12 Mysuru

  • Full day birding in Mysuru.
  • Mostly we looking larks and pipit here.

Day-13 Mysuru

  • Full day birding in Mysuru then eveing we move to Bangalore .
  • Stay at Banglor hotel.

Day-14 Bangalore

  • Half day birding in banglor outskirts then drop to Bangalore international airport.
  • Tour end.
